Good old X3 returns!
If you need a refresher, he was introduced way the hell back on page 44.

Speaking of which, a few years ago I learned a great lesson while on a crackerjack creative team under an eagle-eyed editor who once pointed out that the freckles I’d drawn on a character’s face didn’t match my earlier drawings. She was spot-on right, and I felt like a tool for missing it - which is why I know that there are exactly eleven concentric rings on the X3 ‘bot’s arms and legs, as well as thirteen concentric rings and a total of forty radiating lines on its death ray projector, and a whole lot more besides.

I’ve never actually come close to putting in all that minutia, but if I ever HAD to…
