The vehicle:
One year of late night thought.
A half a hundred Sharpie sketches, four junked final designs, three test models and two pieces of concept art. Abandoned armament includes two gun sponsons, an enclosed gun turret, a forward-mounted ram and a wheeled, wire-guided torpedo fired from the bow.
Conceptual overdrive: a lightweight steel skin crimped all over for rigidity. Accordioning deck plates fitted with shock absorbers to mitigate recoil.
Amenities: fold down bunks and a galley - yep, I took it that far.
Was it all worth it?
That, friends, is entirely up to you.
